God, what would you have me say and do today?

God, what would you have me say and do today?
Today I would have your awareness
that all is blessed
when placed in my care.
All things, when brought to me, are
seen in the light of my love and compassion-
even war, tragedy, poverty, and hunger.
Every human endeavour, when brought to me,
is seen in its purest
and most innocent essence.
Bring all things to me in prayer, meditation,
and sacred song;
surrender your own mind to the light of my wisdom.
Insight, revelation, and knowledge are revealed-
some to you, some to others-
even as some mysteries
remain hidden for another day or another time.
Give me your awareness and I will
fill it with light and love.
My gift to you today:
you will see with divine eyes.
Evening Reflection
Sometimes a guidance comes that is more a message of what God might be like or might do. I have learned to be faithful in writing whatever comes through. Whatever it is that lets the guidance come through-whether it is my higher wisdom in conjunction with my academic spiritual training, or a more direct communication from God that bypasses the right brain-it is all God, all divine-for that is my intention when I ask.
In this guidance, I was asked to give my awareness back to God.
The way I see the world is partly influenced by the baggage I carry: baggage life has handed me, or that I have bought into, sometimes unconsciously. Our ego and subconscious hold secrets we may not gain awareness of until we go into therapy or pursue a spiritual path that opens up to insight, understanding and grace.
Today I was reminded that I can look out upon the world with divine vision and see even the worst of our world through the eyes of love and grace.
