God, what would you have me say and do today?

God, what would you have me say and do today?
Be gentle and sensitive.
Make no effort to push for anything.
Let things flow; take things in stride.
Today, relax as you choose what to do.
Speak with love.
Let others know that you appreciate them.
Be present for others while giving them space.
Be open to a new, subtler level of sensitivity
to the states of mind and being of others.
Be understanding and have no judgement;
say what is loving and supportive.
This is a day of gentle being for you.
Let natural grace flow from you.
This will be your gift today…
graceful conversation and ease of interaction.
Don’t fake anything.
No pretense of any kind today.
Be strong in your resolve to do this.
Let nothing get in your way.
Evening Reflection
Today was quite a success-until about 9:00 pm.
An issue surfaced at a gathering that I tried to remain quiet about because I had strong opinions that I believed were not useful in that context. I don’t have a very good poker face though, and someone asked me what was wrong. When I had my say, my words were met with anger. Even though I was coming from a place of love and care,my opinion was received in a way I had not intended.
Had I been gentle and sensitive when I finally spoke?
I thought I had been.
Did I speak lovingly? Yes. (I thought I did, anyway.)
Was I judgmental? Yes, I had some judgement, even though what I said was loving and supportive.
Did I let something get in the way? Yes-me!
Uuggh!
I almost made it. Sometimes the real test happens at the end of the day!
Watch out for 9:00 pm!
