God, what would you have me say and do today?

God, what would you have me say and do today?
Be like fresh rain.
Pour softly and gently onto the souls
you encounter today.
Wet hearts with words that refresh
and bring love’s dew.
Let your actions
moisten the hardness in others
as you speak soft words filled with
love, hope, and trust.
Let divine rain fall into you.
Keep your heart open to my touch.
Be filled with the gift of love.
It will keep you moist and supple
that you may gift others
as you go through the day.
Let the outpouring of your actions
be a shower of love,
and watch how the garden of love grows.
